What was your first job?
I really wish this would be something super exciting, but my first job was at Beefers, a small burger place. I took orders and helped the cooks in the kitchen as well. I was a Senior in High School juggling a demanding softball travel schedule along with my classes, but really wanted to see what it was like having a “job.” It was a great experience and built my confidence that although a lot of what I was doing was new to me, I was able to adjust and handle it.
What’s a fun fact about you that you’d like to share?
As quiet as I am, I tend to be overly competitive. Sports were my outlet growing up, softball being my favorite sport to play. I even went to play softball at the University of Missouri at Columbia for a short time.
What are your hobbies? What do you do in your spare time?
I am newly into gardening and also love watching softball. Although I don’t get to the softball fields as much anymore, I still follow some of my old players I used to coach to see how they are doing on their college teams and enjoy catching a good game on TV here and there. Gardening has been challenging for me, but I am loving the peace and relaxation it brings. I also love my dogs and spend quite a bit of time with them.
How is Origina different from any other company that you worked for in the past?
For me, it is the culture and the people here that make a huge difference. It is the true epitome of a work family for me.
What does day-to-day look like for a Customer Success Manager at Origina?
There is a similar goal each day for a CSM, but the fun part about the job is that no day is the same. It helps keep it fresh and exciting! We have a wonderful team that loves to have fun while we work and celebrate each accomplishment we have. Our challenges that we come up against are very rewarding as we overcome them, and they can include thinking outside the box to get a customer to engage with us who hasn’t been, or winning the tough renewal, or finding that New Schedule to be able to expand an account.
What interview tips would you have for someone applying for a role with Origina?
First and foremost, be yourself. Do your research on our company to have a good understanding of what we do and show how your skills can contribute to our team. Don’t be scared to ask questions.
