An interview with our hiring manager
What was your first job?
My parents had a grocery shop so growing up I was packing shelves and serving customers. My first ‘paid’ job was picking ‘Golden Delicious’ apples in France summer before college. (I didn’t eat apples for about 6 months after that!).
What’s a fun fact that you’d like to share?
I tandem para-glided off the Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix.
What are your hobbies? What do you do in your spare time?
I swim and sail regularly (not usually at the same time). I’ve loved anything to do with the sea since I was a teenager, swimming, sailing, kayaking, scuba diving… I also play golf and tennis. I really like to share my spare time with people I want to be with.
How is Origina different from any other company you have worked for in the past?
The main difference is the capacity and openness of Origina to adapt and change quickly. We have a highly motivated group of people who are working towards the same goal, albeit from different start points. There is an energy generated by people from diverse backgrounds getting together for a shared purpose.
What does a typical day look like for Director of Customer Operations at Origina?
Imagine spinning plates…! It’s the variety in activity that I enjoy, whether it’s being involved in strategy, operational technical discussions or working through queries with the team. I particularly enjoy talking to our customers and getting their perspective on our service and how we can improve it.
