Influential Person

The most influential people in my life have to be my parents, 100%. They’ve had a major influence on the person I am today. They’ve always backed me and taught me the importance of kindness, respect, loyalty, and humility. Both have also been fantastic role models in how they balanced life and careers.

Holiday

A skiing trip to New Hampshire when I was 16. It was my first experience being so far away from home but it was so much fun. When I look back on it, it was the first time I had really opened my eyes to what the world had to offer; new people, places, challenges and adventures.

An interview with our hiring manager

What was your first job?

I worked part-time at Barry’s Balloons. Some weekends we delivered and collected bouncy castles, others we sold popcorn, ice-cream, and candyfloss from food-trucks at different events.

What’s a fun fact about you that you’d like to share?

I lived in New Zealand for one year, where I did contract work on a vineyard and spent my free time enjoying what the country had to offer; kayaking in Abel Tasman, skydiving over Lake Taupo, and completing the Tongariro Crossing (home to Mount Doom from the Lord of the Rings movies.)

What are your hobbies? What do you do in your spare time?

My two go-to activities in my spare time are running or playing guitar. Recently, I’ve bought a new house and myself and my partner got married so a lot of my free time has been spent painting, decorating and planning.

How is Origina different from any other company that you worked for in the past?

I have never worked anywhere like Origina in terms of the people and the culture. It’s like a big family. It is so motivating to work with so many people who share the same hunger for growth, collaboration, and development. 

What does day-to-day look like for a Head of Customer Acquisition at Origina?

Every day brings something new. I’m constantly working with others to identify areas for improvement and efficiency in the business. My primary focus is to support our Sales & Marketing teams to drive new business opportunities. I spend a lot of time collaborating with other teams across IT, Inside Sales, Sales, Customer Success, Channel, Events, and Sales Operations.
